Volunteers are being recruited for Earth Day Texas (EDTx) 2014. Read below to learn about the variety of opportunities available for groups of volunteers age 18 and above. Contact Teresa for age-group exceptions: teresa@earthdaytx.org


Most volunteer positions do not require special skills. Some assignments will require training in advance of the event, in most cases this will be offered at the start of your shift.


Standard 4 hour shift:
1st. 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
2nd. 11:30 AM – 3:30 PM
3rd. 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM

Full and Half Day: times may vary to meet festival needs.
1st. 8 :30 AM – 2:30 PM
2nd. 1:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Full As early as 7: 00 AM - As Late as 7 PM


· Pre-Event Activities  Use your organizational skills to help get the festival ready for vendors and patrons. Tasks include office administrative assistance, facility and vendor load-in tasks, envelope stuffing and other duties as assigned. Group and individual opportunities available.

· Ambassadors and Information Booth – You will serve as Docents at the festival by creating a welcoming environment for patrons and vendors. Volunteers are staffed as individual/pairs/threes. Greet, provide information, encourage the public to participate in festival events, market through social media, seat-filler and other duties as assigned.

· Volunteer Check In  Greet and register all festival volunteers, distribute check-in materials, other duties as assigned. Individual and small group opportunity.

· Greeters, Ushers and Guides  Individual or pairs of volunteers will greet and provide hospitality in variety of venues both Saturday and Sunday. Assist workshop leaders to help festival goers participate, provide instructions and other duties as assigned.
